The National Federation of Roofing Contractors

If you decide you do not wish to perform work on your roofing, and would rather hire a qualified contractor to do the work for you, it is wise to check that they are registered with the National Federation of Roofing Contractors.

This is a trade association devoted to quality and high standards throughout the industry. The federation has attained the 'Trust Mark' for government endorsed standards in the industry.

All member companies must agree to a code of practice, which must be renewed annually. The code covers issues including the quality of work, estimates and quotations, and execution of the contract to ensure all parties are aware of their responsibilities.

As part of the code, a member of the federation will inspect any work done, to ensure it conforms to the standards of the federation, as well as the conditions of the contract agreed between parties.
